About Dr. Ambareesh Foundation

Inspired by the life and values of Dr. Ambareesh, a compassionate humanitarian and visionary leader, the Dr. Ambareesh Foundation was established on November 24, 2023, by his wife, Mrs. Sumalatha Ambareesh, and son, Abishek Ambareesh. The foundation was created to honour his legacy of empathy, generosity, and commitment to social progress, ensuring that his lifelong dedication to serving the underprivileged continues to thrive.

By addressing these critical needs, the Dr. Ambareesh Foundation not only carries forward his legacy but also builds a meaningful impact on the lives it touches, offering hope and support to those who need it most.

In recognition of exemplary service, Dr. Shankar Gowda, affectionately known as the "5 Rupee Doctor," received a grant of ₹50,000 for his invaluable contributions to affordable healthcare in rural communities. Furthermore, the Foundation celebrated the achievements of Shilpa, an international wheelchair tennis player, who was awarded ₹50,000, reflecting the Foundation's commitment to honouring the unsung heroes of sports.

Healthcare and Sports Impact in the Inaugural Year

The Foundation awarded ₹50,000 to K. P. Aruna Kumari for her remarkable leadership in "Mamatheya Madilu," an initiative that provides free meals to patients and their families at MIMS Hospital. This initiative exemplifies the Foundation’s deep commitment to community welfare, made possible by the generosity of our donors.

Strengthening Community Welfare

Committed to cultural preservation, the Foundation donated ₹50,000 to the Kalabhairaveshwara Jatra Mahotsav Samiti in Doddarasinakere village. By supporting traditional festivals, we reinforce our role in safeguarding and celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage, ensuring that these cherished practices continue to thrive.

Preserving Cultural Heritage

To inspire the leaders of tomorrow, the Foundation honoured outstanding students excelling in SSLC, PUC, IAS, and KAS exams. The Pratibha Puraskara awards were presented to top performers in SSLC (both Kannada and English) and PUC (Arts, Commerce, and Science) in Mandya District, underscoring our strong commitment to promoting educational excellence.

In a poignant act of compassion, the Foundation provided financial assistance to the family of a young man from Mudgandur village who tragically lost his life in an accident. We also extend support to families affected by unexpected deaths due to natural calamities, reaffirming our dedication to helping those in times of distress.
